What it does

  • Helps reduce the look of persistent uneven tone, including melasma-type discolouration.
  • Works well alongside other brightening actives for a combined effect.

How it works

Best known medically as an antifibrinolytic, tranexamic acid is widely documented in topical skincare to interrupt the interaction between keratinocytes and melanocytes and to moderate melanin production triggered by inflammation and UV. This makes it a useful complement to tyrosinase-focused actives.

How long does tranexamic acid take to work?

Like most tone-evening actives it works gradually; visible change generally needs consistent use over several weeks.
