Key Benefits

What LinaGlow™ delivers.

Barrier Repair

Alpha-linolenic acid (ALA, omega-3) is a critical component of the skin's intercellular lipid matrix. Topical delivery replenishes barrier lipids, reduces transepidermal water loss, and supports recovery of compromised skin barrier function.

SDG Lignan Antioxidant

Secoisolariciresinol diglucoside (SDG) is one of the most potent plant lignans. Scavenges hydroxyl radicals and lipid peroxidation products — protecting the skin lipid barrier from oxidative degradation.

Trehalose Desiccation Defense

Trehalose forms a protective glassification matrix around proteins and membranes under water stress. Clinically demonstrated reduction in skin dehydration in low-humidity environments — ideal for air travel, HVAC, and dry climate skincare.

Anti-Inflammatory (ALA)

Alpha-linolenic acid is a precursor to anti-inflammatory eicosanoids. Reduces prostaglandin E2 and leukotriene B4 production — relevant for atopic, rosacea-prone, and chronic inflammatory skin conditions.

Phytoestrogenic Activity (SDG)

SDG lignans are converted by skin microbiota to enterolactone and enterodiol — weak phytoestrogens that support collagen synthesis and skin thickness in estrogen-deficient skin (menopausal and mature skin care).

Squalane Delivery System

Squalane enhances the dermal delivery of lipophilic flaxseed actives (ALA) while simultaneously reinforcing the lipid barrier. Biomimetic, non-comedogenic, skin-identical delivery vehicle.

Hydration Architecture

Three-tier hydration system.

01

Trehalose — Desiccation-Resistance Osmoprotection

Biomimetic disaccharide found in desiccation-tolerant organisms. Forms a protective glassification matrix under water stress — uniquely effective in low-humidity environments, far beyond standard humectant activity.

02

Glycerin + Butylene Glycol — Humectant Backbone

Dual primary humectants provide immediate and sustained moisture retention. Stable aqueous delivery chassis for flaxseed actives.

03

Squalane — Lipid Barrier Seal & ALA Delivery

Dual role: occlusive emollient sealing in humectant-delivered hydration, and lipophilic carrier enhancing ALA penetration into the stratum corneum lipid matrix.

Applications

Usage Guide

Formulation parameters.

ParameterSpecification
Usage Level1.0 – 5.0% (recommended: 2.0 – 3.0%)
IncorporationAdd to aqueous phase at ≤40°C. Trehalose is heat-stable — no loss of activity at standard processing temperatures. Stir gently.
CompatibilityCompatible with most cosmetic actives. Squalane component is broadly compatible. Avoid strong oxidizing agents which degrade ALA.
StorageStore at 15–25°C, protected from light and heat. Shelf life 24 months.
Packaging Available1 kg, 5 kg, 25 kg HDPE containers
